Job Description

STS Technical Services is seeking an experienced Crane Operator / Rigger to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for a 2nd shift position. This role is essential to the operation of cranes ranging from 20 to 75 tons, with a focus on safely lifting, moving, and positioning heavy loads. The ideal candidate will also possess extensive experience in rigging loads and ensuring safety throughout the process. Key Responsibilities:
Crane Operation:
Operate stationary or traveling cranes to lift, move, position, and reposition loads within the industrial work area.
Safety Compliance:
Depress buttons, lift levers, and ensure that loads are securely attached to the crane before any lift is made, adhering strictly to safety policies.
Load Movement:
Move products, equipment, or materials to and from designated industrial work areas efficiently and safely.
Rigging:
Rig and load units onto trucks for transport, ensuring proper balance and security.
Work Schedule:
Flexibility to work 50-55 hours per week, including partial Saturdays, as business needs dictate. Overtime is paid at time and a half for hours worked over 40 in a week.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in crane operation, specifically handling heavy loads and ensuring safety.
Rigging Skills:
Proven experience in rigging and loading, with a strong understanding of safety practices in the process.
Adaptability:
Ability to adjust to updated production schedules and work in a fast-paced environment.
