Schedule:

Monday-Friday, typically 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., 40 hours/week, with overtime as projects require About the Work Coho Contractors is a commercial roofing and construction company working public bid, design-build, and insurance restoration projects across Southcentral Alaska. We run our own panel manufacturing, so you will be installing material we make. We are looking for an experienced metal roofer who knows the difference between a roof that passes and a roof that lasts through an Alaska winter. What You'll Do Install architectural and structural standing seam metal roof systems — panel layout, clip and fastener patterns, seaming, valleys, hips, ridges, eave and rake details Install screw-down (exposed fastener) metal roof and wall panels, including liner panels, trim, closures, and flashing Fabricate and install flashing, counterflashing, curb and penetration details Read and work from shop drawings and roof plans; verify field dimensions before install Set up and work safely at height — fall protection, staging, material handling, and lift operation Keep the jobsite clean and the work square, straight, and watertight What We're Looking For Verifiable hands-on experience installing standing seam metal roofing (mechanically seamed and snap-lock) and screw-through panel roof and wall systems Working knowledge of metal panel details: expansion and thermal movement, sealant and closure placement, dissimilar metal separation Comfortable running a seamer, brake, shear, and hand tools; portable roll-former experience a plus Ability to read roof plans and details and flag a problem before it gets installed Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to jobsites OSHA 10/30, fall protection, or aerial lift certification a plus — we will train the right person Willing to travel to out-of-town and remote Alaska projects when the schedule calls for it (travel and lodging covered) Able to work outdoors in Alaska conditions and lift 50+ lbs What We Offer Competitive hourly wage based on experience, paid weekly After successful completion of a 90-day probationary period, eligibility for our group benefits package: vision, dental, accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D), and life insurance, plus the option to purchase health insurance at a company-discounted rate Sick leave accruing at one (1) hour for every thirty (30) hours worked, beginning your start date One (1) week of paid vacation after twelve (12) months of continuous full-time employment Year-round work with a company that is growing — not a seasonal crew that disappears in October A small-company culture where your name is on the work and the owner knows it How to Apply Apply through Indeed with your work history and a short note on the standing seam systems you have installed.
