Full-Time, Non-Exempt Pay Range:
$36.00-$45.00 per hour Scudder Roofing is looking for an experienced Roofing (Foreman) to oversee roofing crews and coordinate daily activities on assigned job sites. This position is responsible for making sure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to Scudder Roofing's quality standards and project specifications. The ideal candidate is an experienced roofing professional who can lead a crew, communicate clearly, solve job-site issues, and take ownership of each project from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and direct roofing crews on assigned job sites. Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to plans and quality standards. Provide daily project updates, photos, comments, and progress notes. Communicate with the Superintendent, customers, office staff, and other Project Managers. Coordinate materials, tools, equipment, and project schedules. Track project progress and help complete projects within the scheduled timeframe and budget. Conduct and document weekly safety tailgate meetings. Train crew members on roofing applications, procedures, and company quality standards. Read and understand contracts, project plans, and specifications. Monitor job-site conditions and resolve issues as they arise. Ensure crews follow safety, timekeeping, attendance, meal, and rest break requirements. Identify and communicate potential project upgrades or change orders. Attend required safety, foreman, and company meetings. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
At least five years of roofing experience. Strong knowledge of roofing applications, including shingle, tile, metal, and TPO. Previous crew leadership or foreman experience. Ability to read and understand project plans and specifications. Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and take accountability for assigned projects. Ability to train, lead, and work effectively with a team. Basic computer and mobile application skills. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid California driver's license and ability to meet the Company's driving requirements. Ability to perform the physical duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including working at heights, climbing, standing, walking, bending, and lifting more than 50 pounds.
