The ideal candidate would have proficient knowledge in leak detection and repairing tile roofs. Responsibilities General roofing knowledge with Asphalt, Shingles, specializing in Tile roofing repairs, Gutters Working on flat and/or pitched roofs Prior to initiating work, ensure that all required tools and materials are present; which includes maintaining a well-stocked, orderly work truck Inspect a roof and/or the house to determine the best repair or replacement procedure to fix the concern the customer raised Remove, install or repair residential materials, such as shingles and tiles Preparing surfaces for new shingles or waterproofing and cut/shape materials to the proper size; confirming that roofing materials are aligned with edges of roofs Cementing or nailing flashing-strips of metal or shingle over joints to ensure that they are watertight Ensure that any materials used are properly trimmed to tightly fit around any possible obstruction and alter materials as needed Set up ladders, scaffolding, and other temporary structures as well as break down the job site; stack excess material to ensure safety Clean-up job site upon completion of work each day Plan & perform jobsite activities to fully complete scope of work on time Repair and/or construct roof framing when necessary to ensure safety for our customers Perform all job assignments within the requirements to provide a safe worksite; must take pride in the quality of their work, have a great attitude, is solution oriented and the ability to work autonomously and be a self-starter Exclusion for rodents and wildlife (on the job training provided) Establish and keep positive working relationships with peers, customers, and other contractors/vendors Arrive at jobsite on time and maintain a clean job site Perform other duties as assigned and/or required Requirements 2 years minimum experience as a residential tile roofer and residential/commercial composition asphalt shingle is a plus The ability to operate and handle, safely a variety of tools, ladders and roofing assignments is critical; ladder and construction safety certification such as OSHA training is a plus Detail-oriented and comfortable with outdoor and confined space construction Ability to work on ladders and roofs at different heights and temperatures, lift heavy materials ranging from 50lbs to 75lbs Ability to stand long periods of time, along with bending, climbing and kneeing The ability to lift materials up and down ladders Clear communication, both written and verbal Have a current and valid Driver's License, with a clean driving record Successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen Owning tools to perform essential job functions to include air compressor/hose and nail gun a plus Join us in delivering top-tier roofing solutions that protect homes and businesses!
