This independent contractor role offers the opportunity to work on diverse renovation and turn projects, transforming spaces with precision and craftsmanship. As a key player in our renovation efforts, you will be responsible for executing a variety of construction tasks, ensuring quality workmanship, and adhering to safety standards. This position is perfect for experienced contractors who thrive in fast-paced environments and are eager to showcase their expertise across multiple trades. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive renovation and turn projects, including framing, drywall installation, painting, flooring, tile work, and finishing touches. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks with precision. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately interpret project requirements. Conduct construction inspections to ensure adherence to plans, codes, and safety regulations. Execute specialized tasks such as concrete finishing, masonry, roofing, stucco application, glass installation, cabinet setup, and door hanging. Operate heavy equipment when necessary for site preparation or material handling. Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized worksite; identify potential hazards and implement safety protocols proactively. Experience Proven experience in residential or commercial renovation projects with a strong portfolio of completed work. Familiarity with construction management principles and estimating processes. Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction inspection procedures. Skilled in multiple trades including carpentry (frame carpentry, trim carpentry), roofing, masonry, plastering, welding, flooring installation (tile & hardwood), drywall finishing, caulking, restoration work, hardscape creation, and remodeling projects. Knowledge of plumbing systems and electrical wiring is highly desirable. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, lifts, and other heavy equipment safely. Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and OSHA standards. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to project changes or unforeseen challenges.
