In Person - Pawcatuck, CT Job Description Cherenzia Excavation is seeking a hardworking and dependable Excavation Laborer to join our site development team. This position involves assisting equipment operators, performing general site work, and supporting excavation and utility installation projects. Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation, excavation, backfilling, and cleanup
- Perform manual digging and trench work as needed
- Assist equipment operators and act as a spotter
- Assist with pipe and utility installation
- Check grades using laser levels and grade rods
- Load, unload, and move construction materials
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment
- Follow all company, OSHA, and job-site safety requirements Qualifications
- Valid driver's license required
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work well as part of a team
- Ability to perform physical labor and lift 50-100 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Excavation, site work, pipe installation, or construction experience preferred
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
- GPS and P6 experience preferred
- Experience with grade checking and small equipment is a plus
- CDL Class A or B is a plus but not required
- High school Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred Benefits
