Job Description
Overview Florida Roofing and Gutters is hiring an experienced Roofing Service & Warranty Technician for our Fort Myers office. We are looking for a dependable roofing professional who can accurately diagnose leaks, complete quality repairs, handle warranty-related inspections, and communicate professionally with homeowners and our office team. This is a field position for someone who understands roofing systems and can identify the actual source of a problem—not just apply a temporary patch. Duties Inspect residential and commercial roofs for leaks, installation issues, storm damage, and warranty concerns. Diagnose the source of water intrusion through roof and attic inspections. Complete repairs on shingle, tile, metal, modified bitumen, TPO, and other low-slope roofing systems. Repair pipe boots, flashing, valleys, vents, penetrations, underlayment, ridge caps, wall transitions, and damaged roofing materials. Perform controlled seam probing and other appropriate diagnostic procedures. Complete workmanship warranty repairs and document whether an issue is covered under warranty. Take clear before, during, and after photographs using CompanyCam. Enter detailed inspection notes, repair findings, materials used, and completion information into Job Nimbus. Clearly explain findings and recommended repairs to homeowners and company management. Maintain an organized company vehicle, tools, equipment, and service materials. Follow OSHA requirements and company fall-protection and ladder-safety procedures. Assist with emergency leak calls and storm-related service work when needed. Complete assigned service calls efficiently while minimizing repeat callbacks. Qualifications At least three years of hands-on roofing installation, repair, or service experience preferred. Strong leak-detection and roofing troubleshooting skills. Working knowledge of shingle, tile, metal, and low-slope roofing systems. Ability to perform repairs independently and professionally. Valid Florida driver's license and an insurable driving record. Ability to safely operate ladders and work on steep- and low-slope roofs. Ability to work outdoors in Florida heat and changing weather conditions. Ability to lift and carry roofing materials, tools, and ladders. Comfortable using a smartphone and mobile applications for photographs and job documentation. Professional appearance and respectful customer-service skills. Reliable attendance and the ability to report to the Fort Myers office each workday. Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus. OSHA 10, fall-protection, lift, or manufacturer certifications are a plus. Performance Expectations Complete all required photographs and service documentation. Accurately diagnose roof leaks and avoid unnecessary repairs. Maintain a low callback rate. Close service tickets promptly. Keep customers and the office informed of findings and job status. Maintain safe, clean, and professional work areas. Protect customer property during every inspection and repair. Schedule Full-time, Monday through Friday. Occasional overtime, emergency service, or storm-response work may be required. Join us in delivering exceptional roofing solutions while advancing your construction career in a fast-paced environment that values safety, craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction!
