Independent Contractor - Construction Tenpak Builders Jacksonville, FL Job Details Contract $25 - $30 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications Safety protocol adherence Outdoor work experience Safety equipment Full Job Description Overview We are seeking 3 motivated Independent Contractors to join our construction team. This role offers the opportunity to install a standing seam roof on a military base in Jacksonville, Florida . As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for executing high-quality craftsmanship while adhering to safety standards and project timelines. You will be joining the team as a laborer handling metal roofing panels, fastening roofing panels, and/or operating a mechanical seamer. Qualification/Responsibilities Must be US Citizen to work on military base Must be able to work in Jacksonville, Florida for 8-10 weeks Prior experience in roofing is a plus but not a requirement Must be able to climb up and down ladders and be comfortable performing tasks 20+ feet in the air. Will be handling metal roofing panels, fastening metal roofing panels to substrate, operating mechanical seamer and other tools like hand snips, benders, and/or rivet gun. Must be able to lift 50lbs+ Must be willing to work in Florida sun for extended periods of time Hard hat, safety boots, hi-vis vest, and tool belt required. Hand tools such as snips benders and impacts are a plus but not a requirement Safety harness and ropes will be provided Lodging will be taken care of. Travel will be negotiated.
