Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Roofer Lead to join our construction team, bringing expertise in roofing installation, repair, and maintenance. As a key leader on-site, you will oversee roofing projects from start to finish, ensuring quality workmanship, safety compliance, and timely completion. Your role will involve guiding a team of roofers, interpreting technical drawings, and coordinating with project managers to deliver exceptional results. Duties Lead and supervise roofing crews during installation, repair, and maintenance of various roofing systems including metal roofing, single-ply membrane roofing, and commercial flat roofs. Interpret technical drawings and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of roofing projects. Ensure all team members adhere to construction safety regulations, including the proper use of safety harnesses, ladders, and personal protective equipment. Coordinate material fabrication, ordering supplies such as siding or drywall when necessary for remodeling or exterior work. Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality standards, and safety protocol adherence throughout each project phase. Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while managing tools such as power tools and hand tools for efficient installation or repair work. Train team members on proper use of equipment like scaffolding, metal stud framing tools, caulking guns, and other specialized tools. Requirements Proven experience in roofing installation, repair, or remodeling with a strong understanding of roofing materials including metal roofing and single-ply membrane systems. Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and construction plans accurately. Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and best practices for ladder use, fall protection harnesses, and general site safety. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, fabrication techniques, drywall installation, caulking, stucco work, and siding installation. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship. Prior construction site experience with outdoor work environments is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide teams effectively on complex projects. Additional handyman experience or expertise in metal stud framing and remodeling projects is a plus. $26.40 - $31.80 per hour
