Waterproofing Applicator/Installer
Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Waterproofing Applicator/Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying waterproofing materials and installing protective barriers to ensure building structures are resistant to water infiltration. Your expertise will help safeguard properties from moisture damage, contributing to the durability and longevity of our projects. Responsibilities:
Surface preparation (cleaning, grinding, patching, caulking), installation of waterproofing membranes and coatings, joint and penetration detailing, sealant application, and quality control of completed systems over profile concrete, CMU, stucco, sheeting, lightweight Concrete, and wood decking Waterproofing Application Installer to perform commercial and residential waterproofing work on projects in the Florida Keys, with a focus on exterior envelope and high-exposure coastal conditions. Apply below-grade and above-grade waterproofing — sheet and fluid-applied membranes, elastomeric coatings, and pedestrian/vehicular traffic coatings Install sealants, joint backing, and caulking at expansion joints, penetrations, windows, and control joints Apply air/vapor barriers and flashing details per manufacturer specifications Perform water testing and locate and repair leaks on existing structures Follow manufacturer installation requirements to protect system warranties Maintain safe, clean and organized work areas and follow all site safety rules Duties also include protecting adjacent finishes and maintaining tools and equipmentQualifications:
2+ years of waterproofing, coatings, or sealant experience (concrete restoration or roofing background also considered) Working knowledge of substrate prep, moisture testing, and coating systems Manufacturer certifications (Sika, Tremco, Carlisle, GACO, or similar) a strong plus Comfortable working from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and swing stages Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation Able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in Keys conditions OSHA 10 preferred; confined space and fall protection training a plusPay:
