Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman to join our Metal Roofing Shop team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining metal roofing systems, siding, and related exterior building components. Your expertise will help ensure high-quality craftsmanship and safety compliance on every project. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors on diverse construction sites, utilizing your technical skills and hands-on experience to deliver durable roofing solutions that stand the test of time. Duties Install, repair, and maintain metal roofing systems, including single-ply membrane roofing and metal siding. Interpret technical drawings, construction plans, and specifications to accurately execute projects. Use hand tools, power tools, fabrication equipment, and heavy lifting techniques safely and efficiently. Apply construction safety protocols such as harnesses and ladder use to ensure a secure work environment. Perform roofing repairs, siding installation, caulking, stucco application, and metal stud framing as needed. Follow all construction workplace safety regulations diligently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance. Assist with remodeling projects and fabricating custom metal components for various building applications. Skills Extensive construction experience with a focus on roofing, siding installation, and exterior building work. Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and construction plans accurately. Knowledge of construction estimating processes to assist with project planning. Familiarity with construction safety harnesses, ladder use, and adherence to safety protocol regulations. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, and fabrication equipment. Outdoor work experience in diverse weather conditions with a focus on heavy lifting and physical endurance. Handyman experience including remodeling, stucco application, metal roofing installation, and roofing repair techniques.
