Job Description

SERD is hiring a traveling Crewmember for its Commercial Roof Deck Division. You will travel with the crew throughout the southeast and be home most weekends. Your job duties include assisting both the ground and roof crews during roof installs on commercial structures. Under the training and coaching of the site supervisors, you'll assist the team by preparing the work site, cleaning, loading or unloading materials, and removing hazards. You'll also learn to operate and maintain our equipment. A successful crewmember will be dependable, flexible and adaptable to their work duties and be mechanically inclined. SERD (Southeastern Roof Decks), located at 165 Walter Way Fayetteville, GA, provides commercial Roofing, Roof Decking Systems, Engineered Fills, Metal Stud Framing, Drywall, and Acoustical Ceiling services. SERD is a certified drug-free workplace.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prep the equipment site to keep the area clean during pumping process Properly mix lightweight insulating concrete roof deck systems Recognize and report any unsafe job site condition Communicate clearly with ground and roof team members Comply with all company policies and procedures
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS
Overtime as required, including the ability to work occasional weekend day(s) Communication skills Travel to various job sites, up to 75% weekday overnight travel Must be able to lift, push, or pull heavy equipment (75+ pounds) Must possess the ability to stand for long periods of time Must possess good manual dexterity to climb around equipment and job site Ability to work at heights as well as access heights from a ladder Employees may be required to perform any other job-related tasks as requested by the Foreman Must enjoy working outside in all weather conditions
REQUIREMENTS - SERD
is a drug-free workplace Candidates must be willing to submit to a preemployment drug screening Normal vision and hearing Clean driving record (No DUI's in the last 5 years) Mechanically inclined Willingness to learn the operation and maintenance of the equipment
