Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW - ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are hiring for a roofing technician to join our service team. Service crews respond to customer requests to address various roofing problems, including (but not limited to): Leaking roofs. Leaking gutters and downspouts. Flashing roof curbs and penetrations. Preventive roof maintenance. Roof health inspections. Debris cleanup and leaf/snow removal. Assisting with larger roofing projects as needed. No two days as a service tech will look alike! Service crews operate in teams of two, a Foreman and helper/apprentice, so working well with others is critical. You will regularly be interacting with customers face-to-face and will be a representative of T&K Roofing and the company's values. Some travel, including overnight travel, is possible as we service all of Iowa and its surrounding states. General construction or roofing experience preferred but not required - we will train the right candidate!
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma/GED Able to pass background check and drug test. Able to climb ladders and be comfortable working at heights. Able to work in all weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, extreme high or low temperatures, etc.). Able to regularly lift weights in excess of 40 lbs. Able to maintain personal appearance standards that may be required on some job sites (for example: short hair, clean shaven, personal hygiene, etc.). Available for emergency calls after hours or weekends when on-call. Able to travel overnight as required (approximately 10%) A desire to learn, ask questions, and grow your personal skill set. Committed to working safe.

months-1 year roofing or general construction experience Driver's license Customer Service skills Familiarity with basic hand tools and units of measurement.
