Commercial & Industrial Roofer NIR Roof Care is seeking experienced Commercial & Industrial Roofers to join our production team. We are looking for candidates with demonstrated commercial roofing knowledge and hands-on experience installing and replacing commercial and industrial roofing systems. Union membership is not required to apply . NIR Roof Care is a union contractor and is willing to sponsor qualified candidates into Local 11 for the right individuals who are committed to building a long-term career with our team. This position is primarily focused on commercial roof replacements and new installations , with an emphasis on flat and low-slope roofing systems and occasional shingle work. Responsibilities Install and replace commercial and industrial roofing systems. Perform work on flat and low-slope roofing systems, including single-ply membrane systems and other commercial roofing applications. Perform occasional installation of asphalt shingle roofing systems. Tear-off, prepare, and install roofing systems according to project specifications. Complete flashing, seams, terminations, penetrations, drains, and other roofing details properly. Use hand tools, power tools, and roofing equipment safely and effectively. Identify existing roof conditions and communicate issues to foremen or management. Follow project specifications, manufacturer requirements, and company installation standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite. Follow all OSHA, company, and site-specific safety requirements, including fall protection. Work effectively as part of a production crew to meet project schedules and quality expectations. Qualifications Proven commercial roofing experience and knowledge required. Experience with commercial flat/low-slope roofing systems strongly preferred. Experience with single-ply membrane roofing systems preferred. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of proper roofing installation methods, materials, and roof details. Ability to safely operate common roofing hand tools and power tools. Ability to work at heights and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift and handle roofing materials safely. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a crew. OSHA/safety training is a plus. Local 11 union membership is not required. Qualified non-union candidates may be sponsored into Local 11. What We're Looking For We are looking for roofers—not general laborers . Candidates may be asked to discuss their roofing experience, identify roofing materials and components, explain installation methods, or demonstrate their knowledge of common commercial roofing applications during the hiring process.
