Duties Install, repair, and maintain various roofing systems including asphalt shingles, metal roofing, single-ply membrane roofing, and tile roofing. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to accurately execute roofing projects. Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently to complete roofing tasks. Conduct roof inspections to identify damage or deterioration requiring repair or replacement. Ensure all work complies with construction safety regulations and safety protocol adherence, including the proper use of construction safety harnesses and ladder use. Perform siding installation, metal stud framing, concrete forming, caulking, and restoration work as needed for comprehensive project completion. Lift heavy materials safely during outdoor work activities while following construction workplace safety regulations. Experience Proven construction experience with a focus on roofing installation and repair. Familiarity with metal roofing, single-ply membrane roofing, and tile laying techniques. Experience interpreting technical drawings and working from detailed construction plans. Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus for understanding project scope and material needs. Hands-on experience with construction site safety procedures, including the use of safety harnesses and ladder safety practices. Previous outdoor work experience in various weather conditions is preferred. Additional handyman skills such as siding installation, fabrication, caulking, heavy lifting, or metal stud framing will be considered advantageous.
