In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting photovoltaic (solar) systems on various types of residential sites. Your expertise will ensure that solar energy systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all electrical codes and safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of onshore renewable energy projects while working outdoors in diverse environments. Duties Install photovoltaic solar systems, including mounting panels, wiring, and connecting electrical components according to blueprints and schematics Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute precise system layouts Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and resolve system issues quickly and effectively Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other construction equipment safely during installation and maintenance tasks Perform roof penetrations and roofing work necessary for mounting solar panels on various structures Test electrical systems using voltmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools to verify proper operation Follow all safety protocols for working with high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical systems in outdoor environments Skills Need to be able to lift Solar panels weighing 50 lbs. each. Requires roof work and use of safety gear Hands-on experience working as a solar technician or in photovoltaic system installation projects Knowledge of electrical blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings related to solar energy systems Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems efficiently using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and clamp meters Experience working with high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) systems within renewable energy projects Strong understanding of photovoltaic system components including inverters, wiring, mounting hardware, and fixtures Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards Construction experience including roofing work, site preparation, and use of construction tools Pass and maintain OSHA 10 Join us in advancing sustainable energy solutions!
