We're looking for a dependable, hardworking Construction Intern to support our remodeling team on residential projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in a job well done, and wants to grow their skills in the construction industry. Whether you're looking for part-time work with the potential to grow into a full-time role or are eager to gain experience in residential remodeling, we'd love to meet you. What You'll Do As a Construction Intern, you'll play an important role in keeping our projects running smoothly by supporting our skilled craftsmen and maintaining safe, organized job sites. Assist with demolition on residential remodeling projects Load, unload, transport, and organize building materials, tools, and equipment Safely move, position, and assist with the installation of heavy appliances and materials Receive deliveries at our warehouse and prepare materials for upcoming projects Deliver materials, tools, and supplies to active job sites Clean and maintain organized, safe work areas throughout each project Set up and take down scaffolding, barriers, and other temporary job site structures Assist with light framing and other basic construction tasks as skills and experience allow Support carpenters and other skilled trades during various phases of remodeling projects Operate hand tools and basic power tools safely and responsibly Follow all company safety policies and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) What You Bring Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic Ability to lift 50-100 pounds and perform physically demanding work throughout the day Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team Basic knowledge of construction tools and job site safety practices Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clean, organized workspaces Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to safely operate or willingness to learn to operate a box truck Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in construction, remodeling, landscaping, or general labor Experience with demolition, framing, or residential remodeling projects Comfortable operating hand and power tools Interest in growing into a full-time construction or carpentry role Why You'll Love Working Here Part-time schedule with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position Hands-on experience with high-quality residential remodeling projects Opportunity to learn from experienced remodeling professionals Supportive, team-oriented environment where your contributions matter Variety in your day with work in the warehouse, on job sites, and supporting multiple phases of construction Opportunity to build valuable construction skills and advance your career About Worthington Design & Remodeling Worthington Design & Remodeling is a premier residential remodeling firm specializing in kitchens, bathrooms, basements, full-home renovations, and additions.
