Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Roofer to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems across a variety of projects. Your expertise will ensure that roofs are durable, weather-resistant, and meet safety standards. Duties Install new roofing systems using a variety of materials such as shingles, metal, tile, or membrane roofing. Repair and replace damaged or aging roofs to extend their lifespan and improve performance. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute roofing projects. Operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, removing debris, and performing necessary framing or carpentry work for proper roof installation. Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes throughout all phases of roofing projects. Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks and meet project deadlines. Skills Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes related to roofing projects. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques required for roofing installation and repair. Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings specific to roofing systems. Skilled in using construction site equipment including scaffolding, ladders, and framing tools. Familiarity with various construction disciplines such as masonry, carpentry, metal stud framing, plumbing, stucco application, tile laying, welding, and restoration work. Ability to perform caulking, trim carpentry, concrete forming, fabrication, and masonry tasks as needed. Knowledge of safety protocols related to working at heights and on construction sites; ability to identify hazards proactively. Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting and working in outdoor conditions; experience with remodeling or handyman tasks is a plus.
