Overview Join our team as a Commercial Roofing Technician and become a vital part of delivering high-quality roofing solutions for commercial properties. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various roofing systems with precision and safety at the forefront. You will work outdoors in diverse environments, utilizing your construction expertise to ensure durable, weather-resistant roofs that meet project specifications and safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in roofing and construction while contributing to projects that protect and enhance commercial buildings. Duties Install, repair, and maintain a variety of roofing systems including single-ply membrane, metal roofing, and other commercial roofing materials. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to accurately execute roofing projects. Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently to complete roofing tasks. Conduct roof inspections to identify damage or deterioration and perform necessary repairs or restoration work. Adhere strictly to construction safety protocols such as harness use, ladder safety procedures, and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations. Assist with siding installation, drywall work, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry, plumbing, welding, tile laying, and other related construction activities as needed. Lift heavy materials safely during installation or repair processes while maintaining proper ergonomic practices. Requirements Proven construction experience with a focus on roofing or related trades such as carpentry, masonry, or remodeling. Knowledge of roofing repair techniques including single-ply membrane systems and metal roofing applications. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and safety workplace regulations. Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions with outdoor work experience preferred. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting techniques, and fabrication equipment. Strong understanding of construction safety harnesses, ladder use protocols, scaffolding safety measures, and OSHA standards. Ability to interpret technical schematics and schematics for various building systems including plumbing or electrical components when necessary. Excellent teamwork skills combined with the ability to work independently on complex projects while following detailed instructions. Join us to build durable roofs that stand the test of time! Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 38.0 - 46.0 per week
