Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain various roofing systems including asphalt shingles, metal roofing, single-ply membrane roofing, and other materials. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure precise installation according to project specifications. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and fastening roofing materials. Conduct roofing inspections to identify damage or wear and perform necessary repairs promptly. Adhere strictly to construction safety regulations, including the proper use of safety harnesses, ladders, and scaffolding to prevent accidents. Assist with siding installation, stucco work, drywall finishing, caulking, trim carpentry, masonry tasks, and other related construction duties as needed. Lift heavy materials safely during outdoor work environments while maintaining proper ergonomic practices. Skills Proven experience in roofing installation, repair, and restoration projects with a strong understanding of roofing materials such as metal roofing and single-ply membranes. Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans for accurate project execution. Proficient with hand tools (hammers, chisels), power tools (nail guns, drills), and fabrication equipment used in roofing and siding work. Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations including fall protection measures like safety harnesses and ladder use protocols. Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions with outdoor work experience preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina for demanding tasks. Familiarity with masonry, framing carpentry, drywall finishing, caulking techniques, tile laying, plumbing basics, welding skills, or remodeling experience is a plus.
