Job Description

Waterproofing & Foundation Repair Technician | Odenton, MD Maryland Mold and Waterproofing (MMW) is a residential specialty contractor based in Odenton, MD. We install basement waterproofing and drainage systems, encapsulate crawlspaces, remediate mold, and perform structural and foundation repair for homeowners across central Maryland. Our team operates to a high standard: the work is done right, documentation is thorough, and quality is non-negotiable. We are hiring a Waterproofing and Foundation Repair Technician. This is a physically demanding field role. You will work in basements, crawlspaces, and attics, often in tight, humid, or otherwise challenging conditions. Full PPE is required on every job, including respirators and Tyvek suits. You may spend half a day running a jackhammer and the other half carrying buckets of broken concrete up basement stairs. You will crawl under houses. You will dig next to foundations in the mud. What You Will Do:
Install interior basement drainage systems, sump pumps, discharge lines, and vapor barriers Break and remove concrete with jackhammers and demolition hammers Dig trenches and prepare drainage beds for stone and pipe Perform exterior excavation, foundation waterproofing, and backfill Encapsulate crawlspaces and install insulation and dehumidification equipment Mix, place, and finish concrete Assist with foundation repairs including carbon fiber reinforcement, steel supports, and stabilization systems Load, unload, and maintain tools, materials, and company vehicles Document completed work and jobsite conditions on every job Protect the customer's home and leave every jobsite clean
What You Need:
2+ years of hands-on experience in residential construction, concrete, excavation, waterproofing, foundation repair, hardscape installation, utility work, plumbing, carpentry, or landscape installation. We will teach you our systems. We are not teaching the trade from zero. Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more repeatedly through a full workday, and to work on your knees, in crawlspaces, in trenches, and in confined spaces Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and mud Comfort with power tools and willingness to learn new equipment Valid driver license and a record clean enough to insure on company vehicles. No DUI or DWI in the last five years, no suspensions, and no more than two moving violations in the last three years. Age 21 or older, able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen, and able to obtain a Class B CDL. You do not need the license to apply. You need to be able to get it. Legally authorized to work in the United States. MMW does not sponsor employment visas. No drugs or alcohol on the job, without exception
What You Will Earn:
You earn a guaranteed hourly rate, and you get paid extra on every job your crew finishes on time and finishes right. Here is exactly how it works : Your hourly rate: $22.00 to $28.00 Set by your experience with waterproofing, concrete, excavation, and foundation work. You are told your rate before you accept the job. This is your rate every week regardless of how the schedule runs.
Your job bonus:
$75 to $250 per job, on top of your hourly Every job gets a budgeted number of crew hours before it starts. You know the number going in. Finish the job at or under those hours, pass the install quality check, get your photos in within 24 hours, and get the customer sign-off, and everyone on the crew earns the bonus for that job.
Also paid:
Overtime at time and a half over 40 hours. Busy season runs spring through fall and the overtime during it is consistent, not occasional. $2.00 per hour premium once you are licensed and running our dump truck.

$22.00 - $30.00 per hour
