Log Home Specialist

Help Wanted:

Looking to hire currently for full time or part time at Intensified Wood Restoration. We maintain the exterior of log homes, restore log homes to like new and replace rotten/decayed logs. We work on new and existing log homes along with wood sided homes.

Work entails:

Pressure washing (cleaning), sanding, staining, caulking and replacing decayed logs. •Must not be afraid of heights as we work on ladders, scaffolding and use man lifts of various sizes. Safety is number 1 when working at heights and any tool or setup used is OSHA approved. If I don't feel comfortable in a situation you will not be required to feel uncomfortable in certain situations and fear for your own safety and health on the job site. Work is located in the UP mostly with a few jobs out of town in the spring/fall. You will be home on weekends if we are working out of town. All expenses are also covered by IWR when working out of town. Out of town projects are located in Lower Michigan, Indiana and Illinois. We may take on a project elsewhere but typically we stay local in the UP 90% of the time. No driving to the job site with your own vehicle (saves you money on gas). IWR provides transportation to and from the job site so you don't spend your own money on gas. We have full size crew cab trucks with plenty of space, so nobody is cramped. You will be required to meet at our office in the morning so you must have reliable transportation and valid drivers license. •I will pick you up in the morning if your house is not out of the way from wherever our current job site is located. The work is very rewarding. While it can be hard at times it also is easy at times which is common in the trades. Looking for people with a positive attitude who also want to be productive and learn a new trade. Our clients are all excellent people to work for and appreciate the work you will do. We have had some clients for over 30 years. You get to see some amazing log/wood homes with postcard type views along with seeing parts of the UP and Midwest you may have never seen or traveled to. Previous construction or staining/painting experience preferred but not necessary. You will not be required to provide your own tools if hired. Looking for 2-3 employees.
