Job Description

One Team Restoration — Clayton, NC $27-$30/hour | Full-Time One Team Restoration is looking for an experienced Reconstruction Lead to join our growing team. This is not a position for someone who needs to be told every step of the day. We're looking for someone with solid residential construction experience who can work with their hands, recognize what needs to happen next, solve problems, and take ownership of getting the job done correctly. Our reconstruction projects are primarily residential insurance repairs. We use subcontractors for most major trades, so this position is a combination of hands-on repair work, jobsite coordination, quality control, and problem-solving. What You'll Do Complete punch-list work and miscellaneous residential repairs Install trim, baseboard, doors, hardware, cabinets and vanities Perform minor drywall, paint and flooring repairs Pick up and organize project materials Meet subcontractors onsite and review the scope of work Inspect completed work and identify deficiencies Take complete jobsite photos and maintain field documentation Help prepare jobs for the next phase of construction Identify problems before they cause delays Keep jobsites clean and professional, including occupied homes Assist with emergency restoration work as required Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work but also wants more responsibility than simply being a technician. You should be the type of person who sees a problem and starts figuring out the solution instead of immediately asking someone else what to do.
Minimum requirements include:
3+ years residential construction/repair experience Strong working knowledge of common residential repairs Previous experience leading a crew, coordinating trades, or working as a lead/foreman strongly preferred Strong communication skills Dependable and punctual Comfortable using a smartphone for photos and documentation Able to read and understand basic construction scopes Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Able to meet company auto-insurance requirements Able to lift approximately 50-75 lbs. Able to pass background check and drug screening Comfortable working inside occupied homes Willing to travel to projects generally within approximately 1.5 hours of Clayton Insurance restoration/Xactimate experience is helpful, but not required. We can teach the restoration side to the right construction professional. Schedule & On-Call Normal schedule is approximately Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM. This position currently participates in an every-other-week after-hours emergency rotation. As our mitigation department grows, reconstruction's emergency-response responsibility is expected to transition primarily to overflow/major-loss support. Compensation & Benefits $27-$30/hour, depending on experience and ability. Company vehicle, gas card, company phone, paid vacation/PTO, company-provided power tools, and opportunity for increased responsibility as One Team grows. Basic personal hand tools are preferred, but we'll work with an exceptional candidate who doesn't currently have everything required. Growth Opportunity We're not looking to fill a temporary labor need. We're looking for someone who can become an important part of One Team as we grow. For the right person, this position has a path from Reconstruction Lead → increased project responsibility → Reconstruction Project Manager/production leadership. If you're experienced in residential construction, take ownership of your work, communicate professionally, and want an opportunity to grow beyond simply being another technician, we'd like to talk with you.
