Job Overview Shekinah Glory is hiring a dependable Roofing Laborer / Roofer Helper (Temporary) for a church shingle roof replacement project in [City, State].
Pay:
$15.00-$17.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule:
Day shift; [Monday-Saturday if applicable] The Roofing Laborer will work directly for the church and assist an experienced Roofing Lead with removal and replacement of a shingle roof. Duties Assist with tearing off shingles, underlayment, nails, flashing, and roofing debris. Carry and stage shingles, lumber, underlayment, tools, and supplies. Assist with roof-deck preparation and approved wood replacement. Assist with installation of underlayment, shingles, ridge caps, vents, and flashing under supervision. Maintain tarps, debris containment, work-area organization, and church grounds protection. Complete daily cleanup, including magnetic nail sweeping. Follow all fall-protection, ladder, heat-safety, and tool-safety instructions. Help secure the roof and work area at the end of each workday.
Qualifications:
Roofing, construction, demolition, landscaping, or comparable physical-labor experience preferred. Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and work outdoors in changing weather. Ability to work safely on ladders and roofs. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Must follow instructions, safety procedures, and professional conduct standards on church property. Qualifications:
Prior construction, roofing, landscaping, demolition, or physical labor experience preferred. Ability to lift at least 50 pounds repeatedly and work on ladders, roofs, and uneven surfaces. Ability to work outdoors in heat, sun, wind, and changing weather conditions. Ability to follow safety directions and work as part of a two-person crew. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Willingness to complete church-required screening. Skills Prior construction experience with roofing, siding installation, or related trades such as carpentry or masonry is highly desirable. Knowledge of roofing repair techniques including metal roofing and single-ply membrane systems. Familiarity with construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, scaffolding equipment, and fabrication machinery safely. Understanding of construction workplace safety regulations including the use of safety harnesses, ladder use protocols, and general site safety procedures. Experience with outdoor work environments and heavy lifting tasks required for material handling. Basic knowledge of related trades such as plumbing, drywall (including metal stud framing), caulking, tile laying, stucco application, welding, restoration work, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, masonry, remodeling projects, concrete forming, fabrication techniques, handyman skills, or welding is a plus.
