Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Commercial Roofer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various roofing systems on commercial buildings. Your expertise will help ensure the safety, durability, and longevity of roofing structures while adhering to strict safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors on diverse projects, utilizing your technical skills and construction experience to deliver high-quality results that meet client specifications and industry standards. Duties Install, repair, and maintain a variety of commercial roofing systems including single-ply membrane roofing, metal roofing, and flat roofs. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute roofing plans. Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and install roofing materials. Conduct roof inspections to identify issues such as leaks or damage and perform necessary repairs or restoration work. Apply roofing techniques such as caulking, flashing installation, and seam sealing to ensure watertight integrity. Follow construction safety regulations including proper ladder use, harness attachment, heavy lifting procedures, and adherence to workplace safety standards. Assist with siding installation, stucco application, masonry work, framing carpentry, and other related construction tasks as needed. Fabricate custom metal components and work with various materials including metal studs and concrete forms. Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints accurately to guide project execution. Maintain a clean worksite by organizing tools and debris removal while ensuring safety protocols are consistently followed. Experience Proven construction experience with a focus on roofing installation or repair in commercial settings. Knowledge of roofing materials such as single-ply membranes, metal panels, shingles, and other flat roof systems. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and blueprint reading for project planning. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques. Understanding of construction workplace safety regulations including harness use, ladder safety, scaffolding procedures, and OSHA standards. Experience working outdoors in varying weather conditions on multiple-story buildings or large-scale projects. Additional skills in siding installation, stucco application, masonry work, plumbing integration or remodeling are advantageous but not required.
