Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain various metal roofing systems including standing seam, corrugated panels, and single-ply membrane roofing on commercial structures. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute roofing plans in accordance with project specifications. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to cut, shape, and assemble metal components with precision. Ensure all work complies with construction safety regulations such as harness use, ladder safety protocols, and site safety standards. Perform roof inspections for damage or wear and execute necessary repairs or restoration to extend roof lifespan. Assist in the installation of siding, stucco, drywall, and other exterior building components as needed for comprehensive project completion. Lift heavy materials safely and efficiently while adhering to proper lifting techniques and safety protocols on the construction site. Skills Strong knowledge of roofing materials including metal roofing systems and single-ply membrane roofing. Experience interpreting construction plans, technical drawings, schematics, and blueprint reading. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery relevant to roofing installation. Proficient in construction estimating processes and understanding project scope requirements. Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations such as harness use, ladder use, heavy lifting techniques, and general site safety practices. Outdoor work experience with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions. Familiarity with related trades such as carpentry (trim carpentry, framing), masonry (concrete forming), plumbing, drywall installation, caulking, tile laying, and restoration work.
