This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and related construction trades, with experience in handling various tools and materials. This position offers opportunities for growth within the construction industry and requires a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and efficiency. Responsibilities Install new roofing systems using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, tile, and membrane roofing. Repair or replace damaged roofs, ensuring all work meets safety standards and building codes. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute roofing projects. Use hand tools such as hammers, chisels, and caulking guns, as well as power tools including nail guns, drills, and saws. Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal panels, and framing components. Prepare work sites by setting up scaffolding, safety barriers, and protective coverings. Coordinate with project managers to estimate material needs and ensure timely completion of projects. Conduct inspections to assess roof condition and determine necessary repairs or replacements. Assist with related construction tasks such as framing, carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, or plumbing as needed. Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all safety protocols on-site. Skills Proven experience in roofing installation and repair. Strong knowledge of construction estimating and blueprint reading. Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, caulking guns, and hand saws; experience with power tools like drills and nail guns. Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and protocols. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods. Experience with various construction trades including carpentry (trim carpentry, frame carpentry), masonry (masonry work), welding, tile laying, metal stud framing, restoration work, remodeling projects, plumbing integration, concrete forming, fabrication techniques, schematics interpretation, drywall finishing (including stucco), handyman skills, and welding is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately. Strong work ethic with attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
