In this role, you will be instrumental in assisting with various roofing projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and supporting skilled tradespeople in delivering high-quality roofing solutions. Duties Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of various roofing systems including metal roofing, single-ply membrane roofing, and other materials. Set up and safely operate ladders, scaffolding, and other access equipment for roof work. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to cut, shape, and install roofing components according to project specifications. Follow all construction safety regulations, including proper use of safety harnesses and fall protection equipment. Interpret technical drawings and construction plans to support accurate installation processes. Perform heavy lifting tasks for materials such as shingles, metal panels, siding, drywall, or concrete forms. Maintain a clean and organized work site while adhering to all safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries. Skills Construction estimating knowledge is a plus for understanding project scope and material needs. Strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and proper use of safety harnesses. Proficiency with ladder use, scaffolding setup, and fall protection measures. Experience with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques relevant to roofing and siding installation. Knowledge of roofing repair methods including metal roofing and single-ply membrane systems. Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans accurately. Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions is preferred. Familiarity with construction site safety protocols such as heavy lifting techniques, caulking, stucco application, drywall installation, tile laying, and remodeling projects.
