Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Roofer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various roofing systems on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Your expertise will help ensure that roofs are durable, weather-resistant, and built to the highest standards of safety and quality. Responsibilities Measure roof areas accurately using blueprints, schematics, and site assessments to determine material needs and project scope. Install roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, tiles, or membrane systems following safety protocols and manufacturer specifications. Use hand tools (e.g., hammers, pry bars), power tools (e.g., drills, nail guns), and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and secure roofing components. Perform roof repairs including patching leaks, replacing damaged sections, and applying caulking or sealants for weatherproofing. Conduct heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal sheets, or concrete forms while maintaining proper safety procedures. Read construction plans and schematics to ensure accurate installation aligned with project requirements. Assist with related tasks like framing carpentry, metal stud framing, masonry work, or restoration projects as needed. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to OSHA standards and company policies throughout all phases of roofing projects. Experience Prior construction site experience with a focus on roofing projects preferred. Knowledge of roofing techniques including tile laying, metal roofing, flat roof systems, and membrane installation. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating processes. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques. Background in related trades such as carpentry (trim carpentry), masonry (stucco), plumbing or remodeling is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working at heights or on scaffolding. Previous handyman experience or exposure to restoration projects is a plus.
