Job Overview We are seeking energetic and dedicated Commercial Roofing Journeymen, Apprentices, and Laborers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of roofing systems, including metal roofing, single-ply membrane roofing, and other specialized materials. Your expertise will help ensure the safety, durability, and quality of roofing projects across commercial sites. This position offers paid employment opportunities for all levels of experience, from entry-level apprentices to seasoned journeymen and hardworking laborers eager to grow their skills. Duties Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial roofing systems using hand tools and power tools. Interpret technical drawings and construction plans to accurately execute roofing projects. Safely operate ladders, scaffolding, and construction safety harnesses while adhering to all workplace safety regulations. Conduct roofing repair tasks. Fabricate roofing components and perform metal roofing tasks with precision. Support heavy lifting activities and outdoor work in various weather conditions to ensure project timelines are met. Follow all safety protocols diligently, including proper use of construction safety harnesses and adherence to construction workplace safety regulations. Interpret technical drawings and construction plans for projects involving single-ply membrane roofing or other specialized materials. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by properly handling tools like hand tools and power tools throughout each project phase. Experience Previous construction experience with a focus on roofing or exterior building systems is highly preferred. Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus for those involved in project planning phases. Hands-on experience with roofing repair, metal roofing installation, siding installation, or tile laying is advantageous. Knowledge of construction safety harnesses, ladder use, heavy lifting techniques, and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) safety standards is essential. Experience interpreting technical drawings and working from detailed construction plans will help ensure accuracy on complex projects. Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions enhances adaptability and resilience on job sites. Additional handyman experience or skills in fabrication can contribute to versatile project support.
