Commercial Roofer Job Description This role focuses on installing Duro-Last prefabricated single-ply membrane systems on commercial roofing projects across the Toledo, OH area. You will work primarily on first shift, performing physically demanding tasks that include lifting materials, operating roofing hand tools, and working comfortably at heights in a variety of outdoor conditions. Responsibilities Install Duro-Last prefabricated single-ply membrane roofing systems on commercial buildings in the Toledo, OH area. Use roofing hand tools and equipment safely and effectively to complete high-quality roof installations. Lift and move roofing materials weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the workday. Work at heights safely, following all safety procedures and using required personal protective equipment. Travel to various project sites as needed and maintain reliability for first-shift schedules. Contribute to a team-oriented work environment by communicating clearly and supporting coworkers on site. Follow project plans, instructions, and timelines to ensure roofing projects are completed efficiently and to specification. Essential Skills At least 2 years of experience in commercial roofing installation. Hands-on experience installing single-ply membrane roofing systems, specifically Duro-Last or similar materials. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly to move and position roofing materials. Comfort working at heights and on commercial roofs in varying weather conditions. Experience using roofing hand tools and related construction equipment safely. Availability to work first shift schedules, typically 45-60 hours per week, depending on weather. Valid driver's license to qualify for per diem and travel between job sites. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working on 8/12 pitch roofs is helpful for safety awareness, but not required. Previous construction experience in commercial environments is beneficial. Strong awareness of job site safety practices and willingness to follow all safety protocols. Ability to travel for work as needed in a per diem role. Reliability, strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively as part of a roofing crew. Why Work Here? Required personal protective equipment includes steel-toe boots, hard hat, safety glasses, work gloves, and jeans as standard attire on site. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fremont, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
