Position Summary:
To provide safe and efficient installation and/or repair of roofs, roofing material, and other materialused in projects identified by Tecta.
Job Functions:
Observes all safety rules, including proper usage of PPE. Assist in laying roofing material to repair, maintain, and install roofs and accessories. Begin to learn tasks associated with roofing systems, including shingles, roofing felt, PVC, TPO, EPDM, MOD BIT, BUR, and asphalt. Stays busy doing any work that will assist the crew manager or co-workers Works under general supervision, receiving assignments in the form of work orders, inspection reports, or verbal instructions. Begins to see next steps in roofing systems, learning tasks associated with specific roofing systems. Follows direction of more experienced roofers. Performs other related duties as assigned. This position is subject to a background and drug screening Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential): Able to apply trade knowledge procedures and practices as applicable Able to learn on the job Must 18 years of age Must be able to work in extreme weather elements Must be skilled in or must learn the safe and economical use of the full range of tools, equipment, and materials needed for the accomplishment of the assigned work Valid DL+ Clear driving record Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Desirable): One or more years of roofing experience Knowledge of construction industry

Occupational Health and Safety:
Compliance with workplace policies and procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control Active participation in activities associated with the management of workplace health and safety Identification and reporting of health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries and property damage at the workplace. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to squat, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, climb ladder, bend, kneel, type, and talk or hear. The employee is also required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Working Conditions:
Physical surroundings: Field environment with exposure to heights, noise and extreme temperatures.
Physical Effort:
Extensive standing, walking, climbing ladders.

Frequent lifting not to exceed 50pounds.
