Job Description
Performs all routine construction work for the Parks Division. Troubleshoots all park facilities. Installs all new construction. Oversees all construction aspects of Community Services. Performs other tasks related to parks maintenance as directed by the Parks Division. Ability to sit, stand and transport self from building to building. Ability to drive a vehicle to and from various worksites. Employee will work in seasonal temperatures bending, lifting and moving pieces of equipment such as ladders, bucket trucks and scaffolds in order to complete work or make repairs on parks equipment. Employee may be exposed to potentially hazardous electricity while installing or maintaining parks. Employee communicates with other employees in the work group and may respond to questions from the general public regarding services or specific projects. Ability to read and understand work orders and equipment manuals. Skill in the operation of hand tools and construction equipment. High school diploma or equivalent plus prefer three to five years of experience in the construction field. Valid Texas Driver's License.
