Waterproofing Technician Job Description This role seeks an experienced construction professional with a strong background in commercial waterproofing and caulking. You will contribute to a variety of projects, including schools, medical facilities, fire stations, and other commercial buildings throughout the Greater San Antonio area. The position focuses on preparing surfaces, installing sealants, performing waterproofing applications, and supporting restoration and renovation work while maintaining a safe and efficient job site. Responsibilities Prepare interior and exterior surfaces for waterproofing and caulking, including cleaning, priming, and ensuring proper substrate conditions. Install a variety of sealants and waterproofing systems in commercial settings such as schools, medical facilities, fire stations, and other commercial buildings. Perform waterproofing applications on roofs, walls, tiles, masonry, and other structural elements to prevent water intrusion and damage. Use hand tools and construction materials safely and effectively for tasks such as tiling, roofing, general labor, exterior demolition, interior renovation, and fit-out work. Follow project specifications and instructions to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to industry standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times, complying with safety procedures and site regulations. Travel to various job sites throughout the Greater San Antonio area as needed, arriving on time and prepared for daily tasks. Work a consistent schedule from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM and complete assigned tasks within established timelines. Collaborate with other construction team members to coordinate work, resolve issues, and support successful project completion. Handle construction materials, tools, and equipment responsibly, including lifting, carrying, and positioning them as required for the job. Essential Skills Extensive construction experience, with a strong focus on commercial construction projects. Demonstrated background in commercial waterproofing and caulking applications. Proficiency in installing sealants and waterproofing systems in a variety of commercial building environments. Hands-on experience with tiling, roofing, masonry, general labor, exterior demolition, interior renovation, and fit-out work. Ability to use hand tools and construction equipment safely and effectively. Reliable transportation to travel to multiple job sites across the Greater San Antonio area. Ability to work a consistent schedule from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Capability to lift, carry, and use construction materials and tools safely throughout the workday. Ability to pass standard onboarding screenings, including background-related checks as required. Strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all safety protocols. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working on commercial projects such as schools, medical facilities, fire stations, and other institutional or commercial buildings. Familiarity with restoration work, including repairing and improving existing building envelopes. Comfort working both independently and as part of a construction team on fast-paced job sites. Attention to detail in surface preparation, sealant application, and overall waterproofing quality. The role requires frequent use of hand tools and construction equipment, as well as regular lifting, carrying, and handling of materials. Conditions may include exposure to varying weather, heights, and typical construction-site noise and activity, and you will follow all safety guidelines to maintain a secure and professional work setting Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Universal City, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
