About the
Role:
Skillforce is seeking a bilingual Construction Team Lead for an ongoing project in Chester, VA. We're looking for an experienced construction professional with strong leadership skills who is ready to lead a crew and grow their career in the construction industry.
Pay and Schedule:
Pay:
Up to $25/hour , based on experience
Schedule:
40+ hours per week plus overtime
Overtime:
Must be available to work overtime each week, including weekends as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be bilingual. Valid OSHA 30 Certification Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. At least 3 years of construction leadership experience. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods. Basic understanding of construction site safety practices and willingness to adhere to safety regulations. Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with foremen and onsite management. Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a crew of 5-8 construction laborers. Coordinate daily tasks and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently Load, unload, and transport construction materials and equipment Prepare and maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites Support skilled tradespeople by supplying tools, materials, and assistance as needed Operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively Assist with the installation and removal of scaffolding, temporary structures, and other site equipment Perform general labor duties, including digging, lifting, carrying, and material handling Communicate with supervisors and team members to report progress, address concerns, and maintain workflow Ensure all crew members follow company and OSHA safety standards
