Job Description

Trainee / Field Assistant - Home Remodeling & Construction Future Proof Homes is looking for a motivated, dependable, and physically capable Trainee / Field Assistant to join our growing team. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to learn a trade, develop real construction skills, and grow with a company . We are willing to train the right person. Construction experience is a plus, but experience is not required . Our work includes home remodeling, outdoor living spaces, window and door installations, repairs, finish work, and general residential construction . You will work alongside experienced team members, teaming up to help our customers improve their homes and bring their projects to life . You'll learn the skills and processes needed to eventually take on more responsibility in the field. What You'll Learn & Do Assist with residential home remodeling projects Assist with window and door installations Help build and install outdoor living spaces Learn proper use of hand and power tools Learn construction techniques and installation procedures Assist with framing, trim, siding, drywall, and finish work Help with demolition and preparation Load, unload, organize, and transport materials Maintain a clean and safe jobsite Follow project plans, measurements, and installation instructions Learn how to identify problems and find solutions in the field Work directly with experienced installers and remodelers Work as part of a team to provide a great experience for our customers Eventually take on more advanced tasks as your skills develop What We're Looking For We're looking for someone with the right attitude and mindset . You don't have to know everything—we can teach you the skills. What we can't teach as easily is work ethic, reliability, and the desire to improve.
The ideal candidate is:
Eager to learn and willing to be coached Physically capable of performing construction work throughout the day Dependable and shows up ready to work Able to learn quickly and retain what they are taught Comfortable working with tools or willing to learn Able to follow instructions and pay attention to details A self-starter Able to recognize what needs to be done and take initiative A problem solver who doesn't immediately give up when something gets difficult Takes pride in their work Works well as part of a team Has a positive, professional attitude Understands that construction can be physically demanding and that every day may be different Experience No prior construction experience is required. If you have construction, remodeling, window/door installation, framing, finish carpentry, roofing, siding, or other trade experience, that's a bonus—but we're more interested in finding someone with the work ethic, attitude, and desire to become highly skilled .
