Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented laborer to join our construction and remodeling team as a Residential Window Technician . In this role, you will help install, repair, and maintain residential windows while delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate has experience using hand and power tools, a solid understanding of general construction techniques, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. Previous window installation experience is a plus, but it is not required —we are happy to provide training for the right candidate with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and experience in general construction or remodeling. Responsibilities Remove existing residential windows safely and without damaging surrounding structures Install new window units, including frames, sashes, trim, and hardware Measure window openings to ensure accurate fit and alignment Seal and insulate windows to meet energy-efficiency and weatherproofing standards Inspect and prepare window openings, repairing or adjusting framing as needed Use hand and power tools such as drills, saws, pry bars, and caulking guns Communicate with homeowners regarding installation steps, timelines, and maintenance Clean up work areas and dispose of old windows and materials appropriately Conduct final inspections to ensure smooth operation and high-quality finish Follow safety guidelines, building codes, and manufacturer specifications Qualifications Ability to read measurements, diagrams, and manufacturer instructions Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Physical ability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions Ability to work at heights and on roofs Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Good communication and customer service skills Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in measuring and fitting components accurately Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team Work Environment Residential homes, both occupied and new construction Indoor and outdoor tasks, often requiring ladder work Use of PPE including gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection Join our team as a Residential Window Tech if you are passionate about craftsmanship and committed to delivering quality results for our customers.
Pay:
