Job Title:
Roofer Job Description This position supports residential and commercial roofing projects by installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of roofing systems. The role focuses on delivering high-quality workmanship, following safety standards, and completing projects on time while working collaboratively with a roofing crew. Responsibilities Install, repair, and replace roofing systems including shingles, metal roofs, and flat roof materials. Perform tear-offs and prepare roof surfaces for new installations. Measure, cut, and install roofing materials to ensure proper fit, durability, and weatherproofing. Install underlayment, flashing, insulation, and ventilation systems according to project specifications. Identify roof damage, leaks, and structural issues and assist with appropriate repairs. Follow blueprints, specifications, and supervisor instructions to complete projects accurately and efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized job site, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of materials. Collaborate with crew members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and productivity goals. Follow OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times while on the job. Use proper fall protection, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safety gear when working at heights. Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all jobsite safety protocols. Identify and promptly report safety hazards or concerns on job sites. Why Work Here? Work Environment This is an outdoor role working on residential and commercial job sites in all weather conditions. Crews typically range from 5 to 15 people depending on project size, creating a collaborative team environment. Standard hours are approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with optional Saturday work available depending on project needs. The dress code includes pants and work boots suitable for construction sites. Personal protective equipment is provided, including hard hat, safety glasses, high-visibility gear, and a safety harness for working at heights. The work involves regular use of construction tools and equipment and requires consistent adherence to safety protocols on active job sites. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Madison, WI.
