Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal is one of the top 10 roofing contractors in the country and strives to maintain a progressive vision for the future. Kalkreuth specializes in complex commercial exterior envelope applications in various markets throughout the country. The company boasts an extensive project portfolio including clients in the automotive, chemical, government, education and healthcare industries. With a wealth of resources and an extensive construction industry network, Kalkreuth has the capabilities to complete any project according to specifications. Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal (KRSM) offers Co-op/Intern positions in an effort to provide college students from a variety of educational disciplines the opportunity to apply traditional classroom learning to actual work experience. The objectives of the program are as follows: To familiarize students with the construction industry and its processes. To introduce students to the complex interrelationships which exist in construction. To expose students to the management functions within Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal. To aid students in acquiring specific job skills that will enhance their value to the industry. The company will position the student in various entry-level roles or any combination thereof, depending on the company's and/or the project's needs. Each month during the assignment, the student will be evaluated by their mentor. At the end of the Co-op/Internship, the student will complete an evaluation of their experience with Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal. KRSM strongly believes that internships are an important tool in recruiting, developing, and retaining innovative people in our industry. This program is an important part of assisting the company in meeting the needs of today while preparing the workforce of the future.
