Job Description
Job Summary:
Pay rate will be determined by qualifications and experience. We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze costs and negotiate effectively.Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for construction projects.
- Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine scope of work.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to gather necessary information.
- Utilize software such as Trimble Auto Bid and Bluebeam to create detailed estimates.
- Survey the market for possible projects, market the company to new clients, and develop potential business opportunities.
- Review site conditions either personally or with the PM team.
- Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing that are in the best interest of the company and ensure project harmony and success.
- Prepare documents for turn over meeting, thoroughly communicate the project scope of work, selected lead items and bid factors/ideas utilized during the estimate phase in Estimate Turnover Meetings with the Construction Team.
- Develop execution plan for each estimate. Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating and design-build projects
- Proficiency in Trimble Auto Bid software for estimating purposes
- Familiarity with Bluebeam for plan review and takeoffs
- Strong understanding of cost control principles in construction management
- Excellent skills in pricing, project management, and negotiation techniques Education
- Minimum of two (2) years construction estimating experience
- AA degree in construction management or a related field (Preferred)
