Posted 08/2026 Job Description Job Summary Aircraft Structures Mechanic (Rotary Wing / Sheet Metal & Structural Repair) We are seeking experienced aviation structures professionals to join a growing defense aviation team in Northern Alabama. This role supports structural repair, modification, fabrication, and maintenance on rotary wing aircraft, including AH-64 Apache platforms and other military helicopter systems. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering competitive compensation, stability, and long-term career growth within a mission-driven aviation environment. Compensation & BenefitsHourly Rate:

- Full-Time, On-site position in Northern Alabama Key Responsibilities
- Perform sheet metal fabrication, structural repair, assembly, and modification on rotary wing aircraft, including Boeing AH-64 Apache and similar platforms
- Repair and replace aircraft structural components using approved technical data and repair manuals
- Drill, rivet, form, and fit structural assemblies to specification
- Conduct damage assessment and structural restoration on airframe components
- Ensure all work complies with military maintenance standards and safety requirements
- Accurately document all maintenance and repair actions
- Support aircraft readiness and mission capability goals
- Work collaboratively with maintenance, QA, and production teams to meet deadlines Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5+ years of aircraft structures, sheet metal, or structural repair experience required
- Rotary wing experience strongly preferred
- Experience on AH-64 or other military helicopter platforms highly desired
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Experience with aircraft sheet metal techniques (riveting, drilling, fitting, forming)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards
- Ability to work independently and within a structured team environment
- Physically able to perform structural work in hangar and field environments Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in military or defense aviation maintenance environments
- Depot-level or field-level structural repair experience
- Experience supporting Apache or similar U.S. Army rotary wing platforms
