Job Description :
5 years of Sheet Metal Mechanic experience Cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using shears, brakes, punches, and rollers to create components and structures as per blueprints and job specifications. Assemble fabricated sheet metal components into finished products, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and functionality according to assembly drawings and instructions. Install and repair foundations, ventilation, bulkheads, shipboard furniture, and other sheet metal fabrication work. Inspect fabricated parts and assemblies for defects, dimensional accuracy, and conformance to quality standards, adjusting as necessary to meet specifications. Perform routine maintenance tasks on fabrication equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged components, to ensure optimal performance and safety. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following safe work practices.
Job Requirements:
Solid understanding of shipbuilding and/or manufacturing processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to read blueprints. Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on your own. 10-Panel drug screen. Background Check no felonies Must be a U.S Citizen and provide a birth certificate or passport #IND1
Pay:
$40.00 per hour Expected hours: 50.0 per week
