Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Fabricator to join our manufacturing and construction teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming raw metal materials into precise, high-quality fabricated components according to technical specifications and blueprints. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with various welding techniques, and the ability to interpret detailed drawings. The Fabricator will contribute significantly to our projects by ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency throughout the fabrication process. Responsibilities Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to produce accurate metal components. Operate various hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal materials. Perform welding using multiple techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS standards. Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure dimensional accuracy. Utilize plasma cutters, pipe threading tools, and rigging equipment for complex fabrication tasks. Follow safety protocols rigorously to maintain a safe work environment on the shop floor and construction sites. Maintain detailed records of fabrication processes and quality control checks. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while adhering to ASME codes & standards. Assist in assembly, metal materials handling, and site-specific construction activities as required. Operate forklifts and other machinery safely for material movement within the shop or construction site. Requirements Proven experience in fabrication shop environments or construction sites involving metal fabrication. Strong knowledge of mechanical blueprint interpretation and shop math fundamentals. Proficiency with welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and mechanical blueprints accurately. Hands-on experience with sheet metal fabrication, pipe threading, plasma cutting, soldering, and machining. Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers effectively. Mechanical knowledge of metal materials, fabrication processes, and safety standards aligned with AWS and ASME codes. Experience operating power tools, rigging equipment, forklifts, and other manufacturing machinery. Construction site experience is highly desirable along with knowledge of safety protocols. Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Strong work ethic with attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
