Job Summary The Sheet Metal Fabricator is responsible for fabricating, forming, assembling, and finishing precision sheet metal components to aerospace specifications. This position requires the ability to interpret engineering drawings, operate fabrication equipment, and consistently produce high-quality parts while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Fabricate and assemble aerospace sheet metal components according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and customer specifications. Set up and operate fabrication equipment, including brakes, shears, rollers, presses, and other sheet metal machinery. Form, trim, deburr, and finish components to required tolerances. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders. Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify compliance with specifications. Identify and report nonconforming materials or production issues. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure customer requirements are met. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and safety. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous sheet metal fabrication experience, preferably in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings. Experience using hand tools, fabrication equipment, and precision measuring instruments. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
