PrideStaff is looking for a Sheet Metal Technician l Sheet Metal Technician I Job Summary The Sheet Metal Technician I supports sheet metal fabrication operations by assisting with laser cutting, material handling, and basic secondary operations under supervision. This role focuses on learning safe operation, quality standards, and proper handling of sheet metal parts.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in operating the sheet metal laser under supervision Load and unload sheet metal from the laser table Identify and organize raw material pallets by type, thickness, and job Perform basic secondary operations such as deburring and sanding Follow work instructions, drawings, and job travelers Perform basic visual quality inspections Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with 5S standards Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Ability to read basic shop drawings and measurements Basic mechanical aptitude Ability to safely lift and handle sheet metal Willingness to learn fabrication processes Advancement to Sheet Metal Technician II - Requirements To advance from Technician I to Technician II , the employee must: Safely and independently operate the sheet metal laser on standard jobs Correctly identify and stage materials by type, thickness, and grain direction Perform basic secondary operations to specification without supervision Accurately follow drawings, travelers, and work instructions Demonstrate consistent quality, safety, and productivity Meet performance expectations for 3-6 consecutive months Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $18.00 - $23.00
