D7 is a progressive and successful family business, based in Riverside, CA., with projects throughout LA, OC, IE, and San Diego County . We specialize in the fabrication and installation of architectural sheet metal, siding, metal cladding and roofing for commercial projects.
Primary Responsibility and Qualification:
We are seeking reliable layout carpenters or framers willing to be cross trained with good work ethic that produces quality work. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work as a cohesive team to achieve predetermined milestones. The right candidate has proven Sheet metal experience.
Responsibilities:
Install and repair architectural sheet metal assemblies (flashing, coping, sill, siding, rain gutters, down spouts, wall panels, roof panels, ACM panels, metal cladding) in supportive frameworks Fabricate or alter parts at construction sites Demonstrates the ability to perform layouts (measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets) and forecast any issues that may impact the installation process Assembles, cuts and shapes materials as specified in plans or directed by supervisor Maneuvers large sheet metal parts to be installed, and properly fastens and anchors parts Proficient in the use of all tools, equipment, and materials required to perform job functions Accurately form and shape materials to prescribed measurements Performs material handling and laboring duties as it relates to trade Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Proven knowledge building materials, hand tools, power tools, lift equipment, and other machines Proven commercial construction experience Experience with Architectural Sheet Metal Consistently focused on workplace safety Proficient in reading blueprints and performing basic measurements Must be able to communicate effectively Must have reliable transportation to report to job sites Must have basic hand tools to perform the work of your trade Must possess a valid California Driver's License Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire Additional requirements: Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, heavy lifting and occasionally carrying 50lbs. Job requires working inside and outside in environments that present occasional exposure to extreme temperatures, both hot and cold, as well as at heights in excess of 10 feet. Must have references and proven past work history record. This position typically works 7am to 3:30pm 8-hour shift with occasional overtime. Working year-round and thrive on teamwork, safety, respect, and continuous improvement.
