The right candidate can read drawings, lay out work independently, and fabricate accurate parts using shop equipment. This position requires sheet metal layout and fabrication experience. It is not a welding position.

Responsibilities Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and measurements to plan and lay out fabrication work. Fabricate sheet metal products, including stick work, crickets, corners, and hog valleys. Fabricate HVAC ductwork. Set up and operate sheet metal equipment, including CNC press brakes and plasma cutting equipment. Measure and check parts throughout fabrication to ensure accurate dimensions, bends, and fit. Perform shop math to calculate measurements, angles, and material requirements. Conduct quality inspections throughout the fabrication process to ensure compliance with design tolerances and safety protocols. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety procedures related to machine operation and material handling. Required Skills & Experience At least 3-5 years of hands-on sheet metal fabrication experience. Strong sheet metal layout skills and the ability to work accurately from drawings. Experience fabricating stick work, crickets, corners, and hog valleys. Ability to use measuring instruments and hand tools to check and complete work. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Must have your own hand tools. Proficiency in operating machining tools such as press brakes, plasma cutters, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and forming machines. Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing environments, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to perform shop math calculations related to measurements, angles, and material quantities. Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes including forming, cutting, bending, and assembly. Excellent hand tool skills combined with a solid understanding of tooling operations.
