In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw metal sheets into precise, high-quality components and assemblies using a variety of advanced fabrication techniques and machinery. Your expertise will contribute to the production of durable, reliable metal products that meet strict quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge equipment in a fast-paced environment where craftsmanship and attention to detail are highly valued. Responsibilities Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine fabrication requirements. Operate and set up various sheet metal fabrication machines including press brake machines, CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and forming machines. Program CNC equipment for precise cutting, shaping, and forming of metal sheets according to project specifications. Measure finished components using precision measurement instruments to ensure adherence to quality standards. Perform welding, forming, and assembly tasks to create finished products or subassemblies. Maintain safety protocols by adhering to all safety standards in production areas and operating machinery responsibly. Conduct routine maintenance on tools and machines to ensure optimal performance and safety. Inspect materials and finished parts for defects or deviations from specifications; document inspection results accurately. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues during fabrication processes and implement solutions efficiently. Skills Proficiency in operating sheet metal fabrication equipment such as press brakes, CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and forming machines. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Skilled in using measuring instruments for quality control and precision measurement in machining processes. Experience with CNC programming and operation is highly desirable. Knowledge of welding techniques and safety standards related to welding operations. Familiarity with shop math, basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations in manufacturing settings. Ability to operate hand tools and tooling efficiently while maintaining safety protocols. Understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, sheet metal fabrication, assembly, and quality inspection. Mechanical aptitude combined with the ability to interpret technical documentation confidently.
