Brake Metal Fabricator Location:
Tampa, FL 33626 (Westchase area)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm
Pay:
$18-$25/HR Based on experience Overview We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal / Brake Metal Fabricator to support daily production of custom metal components. This role requires strong fabrication skills, precise measurement, and safe operation of metal-forming equipment. Ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and producing high-quality finished parts. Key Responsibilities Fabricate sheet metal and brake metal components according to specifications Operate press brakes, shears, notchers, and other metal-forming equipment Read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication layouts Measure, cut, bend, and form metal with accuracy Inspect finished parts for quality and correct tolerances Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements Assist with material handling and staging as needed Collaborate with production team to meet deadlines Qualifications Must have sheet metal experience , including: Shearing metal using shearing equipment Bending sheet metal using sheet-metal forming equipment Excellent math skills to understand sheet-metal bending tolerances and measurements Experience in sheet metal fabrication or brake metal work Ability to operate press brakes and metal-forming tools Strong measurement skills (tape measure, calipers, squares) Ability to read fabrication drawings and cut lists Comfortable lifting 50-75 lbs and standing for full shifts Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused Skills & Attributes Precise and detail-oriented Strong mechanical aptitude Good communication and teamwork Ability to work independently and meet production timelines Problem-solver with a focus on quality Apply Now Ready to join the team? to be considered. #3379NW
