Compass Wire Cloth manufactures screens for sizing or sifting materials. We are looking for candidates with good attention to detail for the position of Fabricator. Fabricators assist in the production, delivery, and packaging of screens. Fabricators are responsible for adhering to a production schedule, working with hands and equipment to manufacture custom screens. Ensuring that safety and quality standards are always met , among other duties.

•Work may involve any of the following: setting up and operating fabricating machines to cut, bend, and straighten metal; shaping wire cloth to metal frames, operating soldering and welding equipment to join sheet metal parts; adding grommets or hooks to screens, sewing or 'bonding' material edges to the wire mesh for specific customer specifications. Essential Functions:

Interacts professionally with internal customers, colleagues, and vendors. Reads job order. Reads a tape measure. Places centers and laterals on screens. Makes boxes and or pallets/crates for packaging product. Produces work per identified quotas.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the environment can be loud.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position involves sitting, walking, stopping, and lifting up to 75 pounds for long periods of time throughout the day.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED, military or commensurate experience. At least one year of continuous full-time work experience.

Shifts:

We operate 1 shift. Schedule will be worked out with the production manager.
